Despite their size and weight, Bowheads do sometimes breach, spyhop and lobtail, producing amazing displays. They are slow swimmers, and feed by skimming along near the surface of the water. They may also sometimes feed on the bottom, as they have been known to dive for more than 20 minutes at a time.
